Training: O level Certificate or better

Requirements:

• Academic qualifications of at least O’ Level Certificate.
• 3 years or more of progressive experience in Farm Management, Animal / Crop Husbandry, or related work at least one year of supervisory work
• Strong employee management skills, Knowledge of dairy production, and animal health
• Good communication skills, Team building skills, and the ability to build & work in a team
• Good Decision-making skills
• Good report writing skills

Responsibilities

• Directing and coordinating worker activities, such as grazing, planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting.
• Supporting the recruitment process and training people to work on the farm.
• Running administrative duties and ensuring general maintenance such as fencing and spraying weeds.
• Managing the health, breeding for effective farm growth
• Keeping financial and farming records and organizing the farm business plan.
• Maintaining equipment and farm assets n good and sound condition
• Interacting with farm stakeholders including neighbors, vets, clients, farm advisers, and other contractors.
• Complying with health, safety and wellbeing procedures of the farm.
• Keeping up to date with new farm technology and ways to make the dairy farm more environmentally sustainable and profitable.
• Any other duties assigned to ensure efficient running of the farm.
